Business Advisory Group

The City of Canning has established a Business Advisory Group (BAG) as a means of developing the relationship between Council and the local business community.

Good communication with business assists Council to better understand the views of this community.  Similarly, Council objectives can be clearly shared.

The Specific Objectives of the Group are to:

  • Provide a reference point to the focus areas of the Economic Development Strategy
  • Ensure that a key sector of the community is provided with an appropriate communication mechanism
  • Provide strategic advice to the City; and in turn Council, on issues that affect the business community
  • Raise the profile of the business community in Council activities and planning.
