Grants

Community Grants are Evolving!

The Community Grants Program is currently under review as we explore new ways to help make communities safer, stronger and more confident. It is important that we regularly review the program to ensure it is as impactful as it can be for our grant recipients and communities.
Two rounds are open for the remainder of this financial year:
• EOFY Community Development Grant Round - Closing 16th May 2016 4.30pm – for equipment purchases only.
• Young People in Sport and Recreation Grant - open year round.

Community Development Grant Round Closing 16th May 2016 4.30pm – For equipment and materials only

Does your community group need equipment that can be purchased and paid for in full before the end of this financial year?
The City of Canning has a special End of Financial Year grant round for community groups providing funds up to $4999 towards the cost of equipment and/or materials. These are matching funds, so you will need to contribute the same amount toward any eligible purchase. If your items in total cost $8000 (as one example), you will contribute $4000 in cash as well as make the full purchase costing $8000, then provide your receipts and an acquittal to the City of Canning before 7th June 2016 4.30pm. Grant funds are paid on approval of your acquittal and receipts in the first week in July 2016. No extensions or variations are available to any of these dates as this is a special round.

Closing Date: 16th May 2016 4.30pm
Notification Date: 25th May 2016
Purchases completed and acquittal and invoices provided: 7th June 2016 4.30pm.
