Scattered across our City are a number of great delights for you and visitors to our region to enjoy.

The jewel in our crown is the Canning River Regional Park - the Kings Park of the south! Enjoy its natural wonders by bike or foot. Extending some six kilometres along the Canning River, it includes five wetland areas.

Enjoy the cycle ways, walkways and picnic areas that abound or visit some of the tourist attractions that are dotted around the area.

Historic Woodloes Homestead can be found on the banks of the river in Woodloes St, Cannington.  One of the earliest architect designed homes in the Swan River Colony, it houses an eclectic collection of memorabilia and household artefacts.

Kent St Weir, home to the Canning River Eco Education Centre (CREEC), offers you the chance to see parts of the riverine environment from the seat of a miniature train!

With over six kilometres of track, Castledare Miniature Railway is the largest operated club of its kind in the country.

Canning is home to one of the best public golf courses at Whaleback Golf Course in Parkwood.
