Waste Transfer Station

Lot 502 Ranford Rd

Canning Vale

The waste transfer station was opened in July 2004 to cater for the need to dispose of inert material, in excess of the two annual hard waste verge collections, from our community and our own works programmes.

A major factor in the decision to build the station is our commitment in providing quality service to our community.

Located at the original Ranford Road landfill site, the enclosed building that allows for quick and easy disposal of material from car or trailer operates on a user pays basis. Our residents receive discounted fees over non-residents.

Inert material taken through the transfer station is separated into metal material, plus building construction material such as rubble, bricks, concrete and sand and other material. Metal and building construction material is recycled, reducing the amount of waste going to landfill.

It is also a one-stop facility for disposal of hazardous chemicals, motor oil and batteries free of charge. Our residents have access to limited disposal of asbestos, which attracts a fee.

The station is open seven days a week from 8am to 4.30pm - excluding Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.

For further information on the Waste Transfer Station, please contact the Waste Service Customer Officer on 9231 0716.

The weighbridge can be contacted on 9231 0670.
