Paperback swap
Bring any paperbacks you’ve read into the library, and you can swap them for others. If you can’t find anything you want to take home, we will give you a ‘paperback token’ which you can use later, when you see something you would like to read.
Great for taking away on beach holidays.
Secondhand book sales
Browse the ‘preloved’ sale shelves for a bargain!
Library stock which is no longer strong enough to stand up to the wear and tear of lending, or which has been superseded by later editions, and donated material which is not suitable for use in the library, is available for sale at bargain basement prices.
There are also occasional ‘super sales’. Check on News and Activities, to see if there is one coming up.
We are always very pleased to receive donations of books, videos, cassettes or jigsaw puzzles which you no longer need. If we cannot put them into library stock, and you are happy for us to sell them, the proceeds will go towards new library resources for you to borrow.
