Who can join

Anyone is welcome to be a library member. You must visit the library, and present proof of your current address and signature (eg driver’s licence, rates notice or rental agreement, power or water bill together with credit card).

If you are a temporary resident, or do not have any proof of address, you can pay a temporary membership deposit, which is refundable when you return your library card, or when you can show proof of address.

If you are under 18 years old, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must sign the membership register.

You must provide a second contact address (with phone number), which the library will use only if you can no longer be contacted at the address on your membership record.

Email address

If you have an email address that the library can use, we can send notices to you more quickly. But remember, you must check your email regularly, as no ‘snailmail’ duplicate will be sent.

Lost or stolen library card

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you report a lost or stolen card as soon as possible. Until it is reported, you are responsible for anything that is borrowed on the card.

There is a charge for the replacement of lost cards, unless they have not been used for at least two years.

Change of address

PLEASE let the library know if you change your home or email address, so we can all keep in touch!
