As one of Perth's leading economies, the City of Canning is committed to growing the capacity and capability of local businesses.
Canning's economy is one of the highest performing local economies in Western Australia. Our City is home to two of Perth's premier industrial areas – Canning Vale and Welshpool. We have major shopping centres are scattered across the City, including WA’s largest shopping centre Westfield Carousel. Small businesses, home businesses and cottage industries are dotted throughout the suburbs, providing a wide range of services to residents.
The City of Canning has a dedicated Business Development team that works on projects, programs, and initiatives to help grow our businesses and economy. This includes:
- building capability in our business community
- addressing structural components to enable growth now and in the future
- improving our interface with businesses.
