The Global Streets Festival 2024 is a celebration of Canning’s richly diverse community where food people and customs are showcased and enjoyed.

Come along to sample new food, experience a range of activations and customs, watch fantastic live stage entertainment, and immerse the kids in new and exciting experiences. Attendees can expect to be totally energised and re-charged through connection with the Canning community at Queens Park Reserve. This is a smoke free and alcohol-free event.

What can you expect?

  • Dogs are always welcome on a lead

  • The City's Major Event Team (we wouldn't miss it!)

Location and Parking

Global Streets will be held at Queens Park Reserve. Free parking (including ACROD) will be available onsite but will be limited. Free bike racks will also be available for those riding down.

We encourage you to consider riding, walking, or catching public transport to the event site. Use the Transperth Journey Planner to plan your journey. 

As with all events near residential areas, please be patient with the staff as they assist traffic entering and exiting the event. Please also be courteous to local residents and do not park on residential verges.

We would like to acknowledge the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation as the traditional custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

Food/Dietary Requirements

Should you have any specific dietary requirements, we recommend you check out the Facebook page or this page where each food truck will be listed. You can then jump onto their pages and review their menus. 
We will do our best to ensure we cater for vegan, Halal, vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free options. However, It is the attendees' responsibility to ensure they check that their food choices suit their diet.

Weather

In the event of bad weather, please check the City of Canning Facebook page where we will update you with any changes or cancellations. You can also subscribe to any updates by selecting 'Going' or 'Interested' on the Facebook event.

Cost

Everything onsite is FREE besides the food trucks of course! If you would like to purchase from the food trucks, they accept cash or EFTPOS.

Photography and Videography​

We will have event photographers and videographers documenting the event. If you do not want your photo taken, please let the camera person know.
