The fully equipped gymnasium, available for either membership or casual use, includes free weights, cardio and strength machines. There is a separate Group Fitness Room with independent air conditioning. Membership includes an initial assessment, a program designed to meet individual goals, demonstration of equipment use, program monitoring and reassessment every three months. Personal trainers and extra assessments are available at an extra cost.
Please note: This is not applicable for casual visits or one month memberships.
For reasons of hygiene the use of sweat towels is compulsory.
The minimum age is 16. Under special circumstances, people 14 to 16 years of age may be accepted. Conditions will apply.
Gym-Only memberships allow access to the gym (only) for the duration of the membership.
Passes for Contours Group Fitness Classes must be purchased from the main reception area ten minutes prior to the class commencing time. Multi-passes are also available from the main reception area.
Group Fitness Class Memberships allow the member to attend as many classes as they wish for the duration of the membership.
Leisureplex Plus Membership offers full Gym membership PLUS access to the Aquatic Hall, but does not include waterslide or fun nut hire, PLUS access to the Therapy Suite subject to some limitations.
Group Fitness Classes are held in the Bill Cole Function Centre. Participants can either pay the casual rate or get their cards scanned at the main reception area and hand their receipts into the instructor for the class.

Body Pump (60 mins) - A pre choreographed resistance class using barbell and hand weights. The focus is on correct technique and lightweights with high repetition for muscle endurance and tone.
Body Balance (60 mins) - A pre choreographed yoga influenced class. Blending moves of yoga, tai chi, Pilates and relaxation stretches. Great for posture muscle improvement.
Body Combat (60 mins) - A pre choreographed martial arts based class. Combining punches and kicks without contact for a great fitness workout.
Body Step (60 mins) - A pre choreographed step class with emphasis on fitness, not hard to follow moves suitable for most fitness levels.
CarioATB (60 mins) - A freestyle class incorporating step moves and Abs, Buns & Thigh work. Great for all fitness levels.
Fitball - A class designed to cater for all levels. Aims at improving balance, co-ordination, strength, flexibility, posture and fitness. Suitable for all fitness levels.
Pilates
One hour classes will run each week on Tuesday evenings from 8 - 9pm, Wednesday evenings from 8 - 9pm and Friday mornings from 9.30 - 10.30am. There is no need to enrol.
Pilates participants will be screened at the start of each class (for medical conditions, pregnancy etc.) and options will be given with every exercise to suit all levels of ability. The cost is $9.50 per class and everyone is welcome!
Pilates are included in Group Fitness memberships.

Living Longer, Living Stronger Program
Strength Training for Over 50s
Did you know that you are never too old to start a strength training program that can prevent a wide range of health conditions such as osteoporosis, athritis, hypertension and diabetes?
COTA WA's Living Longer Living Stronger (LLLS) program has more than 6,000 people over 50 enrolled at over 70 locations in indivdually prescribed strength training programs.
Contours Fitness Centre is an accredited provider of this program and it is available Monday to Fridays between 1pm and 3pm.
The program is a safe and quality controlled strength training specifically designed for people over 50 to build muscle mass and increase bone density as well as improve strength, balance, gait, flexibility and coordination. Each participant is assessed and the program commences at the appropriate level for each individual. Over the course of 2 or 3 sessions per week, strength training weights are gradually increased.
All instructors are fully qualified and carry a Living Longer Living Stronger accreditation which allows them to run LLLS sessions. They will encourage and support you while instructing you on the correct technique and safety.
Sessions are available at a low cost of $6.00 and a 10 entry pass is $55.00. There is also a once-off assessment fee of $55.00.
