Sports grounds

The City has a range of high-quality and well-maintained sports grounds available for use.

The grounds are available for use by local clubs based on a seasonal expression of interest process. Visit the seasonal hire of sports grounds page to learn more and apply.

Bentley

Wyong Reserve

Corner Wyong Road and Baldock Street, Bentley

Wyong Reserve has a central turf cricket pitch, four synthetic cricket nets, private floodlighting on two sides of the oval, and club rooms and change rooms under licence to sporting clubs.

Current seasonal sports: Australian rules football and cricket.

Suitable for: Australian rules football, cricket, softball training and little athletics training.

Other facilities: playground, parking, bench and tiered seating, drinking fountain, and public toilets.

Canning Vale

Canning Vale Oval

Corner Eucalyptus and Waratah Boulevard

Canning Vale Oval has one synthetic cricket pitch, floodlights for training, two cricket nets, change rooms and a pavilion with a kiosk.

Current seasonal sports: Australian rules football and cricket.

Suitable for: Australian rules football, softball, teeball, athletics, cricket, fairs, fetes and school carnivals.

Clifton Reserve

Clifton Road, Canning Vale

With a central synthetic cricket pitch and toilet block, Clifton Reserve has an adjoining passive area with children's playground.

Current seasonal sports: Australian rules football and cricket.

Suitable for: Australian rules Football, cricket, teeball, softball, athletics training, dog training, and passive use.

Other facilities: drinking fountain, gazebo and park benches. Limited parking.

Cannington

Coker Park

Wharf Street, Cannington

Coker Park has two synthetic cricket pitches, four synthetic cricket nets, floodlights for training and matchplay, private clubrooms, change rooms with public toilets and a kiosk area.

Current seasonal sports: soccer and cricket.

Suitable for: soccer, cricket, athletics training, teeball and softball.

Other facilities: playground, parking, drinking fountain, and public toilets.

Ferndale

Ferndale Reserve

Metcalfe Road, Ferndale

Ferndale Reserve includes three grassed sports areas and change rooms with a kiosk.

Current seasonal sports: Australian rules football, cricket and hockey.

Suitable for: Australian rules football, cricket, hockey, basketball, softball, teeball, athletics training, fetes, fairs, and school carnivals.

Other facilities: public toilets and playground.

Lynwood

Woodford Park

Corner Woodford Road and Lynwood Avenue, Lynwood

Woodford Park in Lynwood incorporates a central synthetic cricket pitch, two synthetic cricket nets, a change room with a kiosk and floodlighting.

Current seasonal sports: cricket and soccer

Suitable for: soccer, teeball, baseball, softball, cricket, archery, and little athletics training.

Parkwood

Hossack Reserve

Hossack Avenue, Parkwood

Hossack Reserve includes two separate grassed sporting areas, change rooms, a community hall and private floodlights.

Current seasonal sports: softball and soccer.

Suitable for: soccer, teeball, softball, athletics training, carnivals, fetes, fairs, and school sports.

Other facilities: kitchen, playground, public toilets, drinking fountain, BBQ, and gazebo.

Queens Park

Maniana Reserve

Maniana Road North, Queens Park

Maniana Reserve is home to a synthetic cricket pitch, two soccer pitches, change rooms and a kiosk.

Current seasonal sports: soccer and cricket.

Other facilities: playground and BBQ.

Queens Park Reserve

Treasure Road, Queens Park

Queens Park Reserve has a large grassed area with a central synthetic cricket pitch, two synthetic cricket nets, change rooms, floodlighting, a kiosk, and community hall.

Current seasonal sports: Australian rules football and cricket.

Suitable for: Australian rules football, cricket, carnivals, fetes, and fairs.

Other facilities: playground, exercise equipment and external power.

Riverton

Riverton Reserve

High Road, Riverton

Riverton Reserve has a central synthetic cricket pitch and four cricket nets, pavilion with kiosk and change rooms, floodlighting, and external power.

Current seasonal sports: Australian Rules football and cricket

Other facilities: site in next to Riverton Leisureplex and Library, playground, and public toilets.

Shelley

Shelley Reserve

Koolan Drive, Shelley

Shelley Reserve has a central synthetic cricket pitch, two synthetic cricket nets, private floodlighting, change rooms with toilets, kitchen and kiosk and a scoreboard.

Current seasonal sports: Australian rules football and cricket

Suitable for: Australian rules football, hockey, cricket, passive use, fairs, fetes, and carnivals.

Other facilities: playground, drinking fountain, seating, BBQ and public toilets.

Willetton

Burrendah Reserve

Corner Burrendah Boulevard and Pinetree Gully Road, Willetton

Burrendah Reserve has three distinct sports areas, two with turf cricket pitches and one with a synthetic cricket pitch. Incorporating floodlighting, the reserve has eight turf cricket nets and seven synthetic practice nets, change rooms with a kiosk and a large grassed passive space.

Current seasonal sports: Australian rules football, Soccer, little athletics, and cricket.

Suitable for: Australian rules football, soccer, cricket, little athletics, passive use, fairs, fetes, and carnivals.

Other facilities: community hall to hire, BBQ facilities (key available at City of Canning), playground, and public toilets.

Prendwick Reserve

Corner Prendwick Way and Larissa Road, Willetton

Adjoining the local primary school, Prendwick Reserve is a large grassed area with a synthetic cricket pitch, two synthetic cricket nets, change rooms with kiosk and floodlighting.

Current seasonal sports: Australian rules football and cricket.

Suitable for: Australian rules football, cricket, softball training, teeball training, little athletics training, passive use, fetes, fairs, and school carnivals.

Other facilities: public toilets and playground.

Willetton Reserve

Apsley Road, Willetton

Willetton Reserve has two large and separate sporting areas, two central synthetic cricket pitches, two synthetic cricket nets, two baseball practice cages, four baseball back nets, change rooms, and a kiosk.

Current seasonal sports: baseball, teeball, soccer, little athletics, and cricket.

Suitable for: soccer, teeball, baseball, softball, cricket, archery, little athletics training, carnivals, fetes and fairs.

Other facilities: fitness trail area, public toilets, community hall for hire, playground, and external power.

Wilson

Centenary Reserve

Centenary Avenue, Wilson

Centenary Reserve incorporates two large grassed areas with synthetic cricket pitches, a change room with kiosk facilities, floodlighting, five softball nets and two cricket nets.

Current seasonal sports: softball and cricket.

Suitable for: softball, Australian rules football, cricket, archery, carnivals, fetes, and fairs.

Other facilities: playground, BBQ, public toilets (collect key from City of Canning), and access to outdoor power.

Thomas Moore Park

Corner Armstrong and Braibrise roads, Wilson

Thomas Moore Park is a grassed area suitable for soccer and sports training with change rooms but no floodlighting.

Current seasonal sports: soccer.

Other facilities: playground, public toilets, and community hall for hire.
