Civic Cardens Masterplan
The City asked the community and visitors to Canning Civic Gardens to let us know what they would like see in the Civic Gardens Master Plan (the former Cannington Bowling Club site).
The Civic Gardens site is located on lots 7, 8 & 9 George Street West, Cannington and has a size of 8134sqm. The area is bounded by Albany Highway, George Street West, Fleming Avenue and Civic Gardens Road. The site is currently home to the Civic Administration Building, the Cannington War Memorial, the Civic Centre Stage and is zoned Local Parks & Recreation and Civic & Cultural.
This site is the former home of the Cannington Bowling Club and offers an exciting opportunity for the City and the Canning community to co-create a space that is beautiful, functional and innovative! The feedback received has been analysed, with the City's recommendations for the final concept plan sent to Plan E Landscape Architects. Willetton Master Plan
The Willetton Precinct Master Plan provides an overarching vision and guidance for the progressive redevelopment of community and recreation facilities on Burrendah Park. The plan incorporates land close to Southlands Boulevarde Shopping Centre and addresses the safety of pedestrian and vehicle movements through the area.
The Willetton Precinct Master Plan (WPMP) was developed through extensive community engagement and visioning exercises and reflects community aspirations for the future of recreation and community uses within the precinct. The WPMP also guides enhancements to key roads which will improve pedestrian safety and traffic movements.
The WPMP makes recommendations for the Recreation Precinct (containing community and recreation facilities on Burrendah Park), the Civic Precinct (accommodating the Willetton Library, Willetton Child Health Centre and Willetton Child Care Centre), Burrendah Boulevard and Pinetree Gully Road.
Ongoing redevelopment and management of the City’s facilities in the area will be guided by the Willetton Precinct Master Plan, as individual projects arise.
