COVID update: Mandatory contact register at City venues

03 December 2020
From Saturday 5 December, anyone over the age of 16 years must sign into many public facilities as part of the State Government’s mandatory contact tracing requirements. This includes the following City of Canning venues:

- both our Leisureplexes
- all our Libraries
- Whaleback Golf Course
- community halls
- community facilities.

How to sign in:

  1. Simply download the free SafeWA app on a mobile device. It will automatically register you and is easy and contactless. This video has instructions on how to download the app.
  2. When visiting one of our venues, use the app to scan a code on entry.

Or
  1. Paper sign in sheets are also available in our facilities for those who don’t have a mobile device or haven’t downloaded the app.

To avoid delays we recommend installing the app before coming to our facilities. At peak times there may be delays so please arrive early to allow time to sign in.

Contact registers are a protection measure and will help the WA Department of Health contact trace suspected COVID-19 cases, if required.

More information on the SafeWA App is available at www.wa.gov.au or by calling 13COVID (13 26843).
