Civics and Citizenship Workshop
Join us for refreshments and learn about Australian society and getting involved in your local community.
This workshop is highly interactive and will provide you with the information you need to participate in the Australian democratic process. The workshop is useful for new Australian Citizens, those wanting to become Citizens, or anyone who wants to learn more. All attendees will receive a Certificate of Participation.
This workshop will provide valuable information on:
- The Australian Constitution
- Australia’s levels of Government
- How the Australian parliamentary system works
- How to vote
- Information about the benefits of community participation
- Information about programs that recognise positive community contribution
