Family Fun Australia Day
β Please be advised in line with Western Australian government health directions, masks will be mandatory at the City of Canning’s Australia Day Event. β
On Australia Day we celebrate all the things we love about Australia: the great outdoors, a sense of fair go, lifestyle, the freedoms we enjoy but particularly our people. β±ππΏ
The marking of 26 January is an important date in Australia's history and has changed over time: starting as a celebration for emancipated convicts and evolving into what is now a celebration of Australia that reflects the nation's diverse people and our great land.

This year we are super excited to have the Waste Warriors, KINN&Co and Happy Green World on board as our sustainability partners! There are three key things you need to know β»οΈπ
1. BYO - patrons are encouraged to bring your own plates/containers, cutlery and cups from home to enjoy your meals/beverages. We have a cold, filtered water tank on site, please bring your own refillable water bottle too.
2. Buy an Eat Kit - if you can’t BYO we will have Market Eat Kits to purchase at a subsidised rate from our Waste Warriors.
3. Use the dedicated WASTE STATIONS to dispose of your waste. These stations will be manned by some awesome volunteers, who will ensure all waste is disposed of correctly.
This will feature Containers for Change bins - with all funds raised going to the Happy Green World Foundation to print waste education books for children in 8 countries in West Africa.
