Neighbourhood Nights - Queens Park

We are beyond excited to bring another series of community focused, family friendly events back to a number of our awesome parks and reserves. 🌳

Bring a picnic blanket, chairs, your pooch and the whole family and enjoy a no cook Friday under the summer sky.

📣 Please ensure you have downloaded the Safe WA app prior to attending and scan the QR codes within the venue. There will also be a manual sign up sheet with each COVID Safety Marshall.

How do I get to the event?
Entry for parking is off Centre Street. There is an additional car park off Treasure Road.
There is plenty of free parking in either of these car parks or alternatively street parking.
The City encourages car pooling, walking and riding your bike.

Is there access for people with disabilities?
Reserved signed ACROD parking is available in the car park closest to the event venue.
Please display your ACROD pass.
For those in a wheelchair, path access comes off the car park near these bays and leads you onto the grass.
The event site is grass though this is mown prior to the event and will allow for wheelchair usage.

What is free to the community?
Entry plus all the activities are family friendly and free. The food trucks will charge for food and beverage.

What if I have dietary requirements?
The City will ensure that food vendors offer a mix of vegan, vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free options. Food trucks will be listed on this event page, so you can check their menus.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes! However we do ask they are kept on a lead at all times and doggie bags are brought.

Is seating provided?
Yes, some seating is provided in the way of picnic tables. However we recommend bringing your own chairs and picnic rug incase they fill up!

Are there toilets?
Yes, an existing toilet block is near the event site, as well as portable toilets.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes! Feel free to pack your own picnic. Just avoid bringing glass where possible.

Can I bring alcoholic drinks?
This event is alcohol free.

COVID-19 Information
The City is committed to ensuring the best possible safety for event patrons, staff and suppliers at our events in relation to COVID-19. We will be implementing:

✖️ Hand Sanitizer stations
✖️ Increased cleaning and disinfection regimes for event venue with professional cleaners
✖️ Managing physical distancing between patrons during the event with COVID Safety Marshalls
✖️ Display signage throughout to remind individuals to maintain good hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette
✖️ Hands-free basins with liquid soap in toilet facilities
✖️ Reminders for volunteers and staff not to attend if they are unwell, have been in contact with a positive COVID-19 patient, are awaiting COVID-19 test results or have been instructed to self-isolate
✖️ A register of contact details for all staff, contractors and volunteers to facilitate contact tracing if required

We ask event attendees to remember to:
❗ practise physical distancing (keep at least 2 metres or two arms lengths from each other)
❗ practise good personal hygiene (wash hands often with soap and water, or hand sanitiser and cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use your elbow)
❗ stay home if unwell and if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms get tested for COVID-19
