Refashioning Clothing for a Better Future

You’re invited to join a four week workshop series focused on 'refashioning' clothing.

Each workshop will be held in Cannington Library on a Thursday from 22 October to 12 November.

You'll learn some great new skills to make the most of your wardrobe, and help you to grow your knowledge of recycled fashion. You'll be conserving resources, saving textiles from landfill and coming up with great new looks!

Led by creative eco-designer and fashion upcycler Mariana Kirova of Eco Fashion Sewing.

This initiative is part of the City of Canning’s Sustainability Community Learning Program 2020. Empowering community to reuse valuable materials already in circulation, the series is exciting opportunity for creative sewists in Perth WA to learn unique techniques to refashion and re-create clothing from easy to find resources.

No dressmaking or other clothing experience is required! Only basic machine sewing skills and an itch for making your own.
