Kick off the New Year with a feast of culinary delights from around the globe with the return of the City of Canning’s Mid-Week Eats series.
From 16 January to 20 February, Thursday nights are the new Fridays nights, with six themed events filled with food and entertainment for the whole community to enjoy at Riverton Reserve.
Changing the themes up on a weekly basis, from 5pm – 9pm each Thursday residents can expect to dig in to speciality dishes ranging from Wild West, Oriental Banquet, Mediterranean Sail, Bollywood Bazaar, Fire and Ice and Latino Fiesta.
The Kids Village will see a range of sporting pop ups and activities to keep the little ones entertained, while the specialty performance space will feature musicians and performers from across the globe.
Bring a picnic blanket and chairs or get in early for a picnic table or beanbag.
City of Canning Mayor Patrick Hall commented “The City of Canning’s Mid-Week Eats brings the whole community together, and what better way to spend a balmy summer night than sitting on a blanket under the stars with your family, neighbours, friends (and your dog) and experiencing flavours and cuisines from right around the world.”
Start the weekend early and meet with friends after work, spend the night immersed in music or bring the family to be entertained in a safe and friendly environment. Dogs are welcome on lead, entry is free and the event is BYO.
