Sport and Recreation Facilities Grant 

The City's Sport and Recreation Facilities Grant aligns with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) - Community, Sporting, Recreation and Facilities Fund.

The programs= aims to maintain or increase participation in sport and recreation with an emphasis on physical activity, through rational development of good quality, well-designed and well-utilised facilities.

Proposals seeking funding from these grant opportunities must complete a number of stages commencing with an Expression of Interest submission. The deadline was 28 October 2021 for funding in 2022/2023.

Value of total project:
$7,500 to $300,000 exc of GST.
 
Value of Grant:
Applicants may seek up to one third contribution of the project costs from the City and up to one third contribution from DLGSC. Applicants must also contribute at least one third of the project costs.

It is essential you speak to the Grants Officer before submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) as your proposal will be considered within the broader context of the City of Canning.
