The City of Canning provides one-off grants to community organisations to plan and implement projects and initiatives which address community issues such as safety, sustainability and accessibility.

Up to $5000 is available for initiatives which encourage any of the following:

  • Increased participation by the community.
  • Increased sustainability of community services such as more members, more attendance and improved viability.
  • Skills improvement for volunteers to help develop local community organisations.
  • Response to local needs and issues which make a positive contribution to community life in the City of Canning.

A 50 per cent in-kind match funding must be contributed by the applicant. See the FAQ page for further information about what in-kind means.

Please note that community gardens or physical changes to community facilities or land must be submitted under the Sport and Recreation – Facilities program stream.
