With a proportion of the City’s community born overseas significantly higher than any other local government in Western Australia, the City is seeking to embrace the challenges and opportunities of migration.
In doing so, the City has become part of Australia’s Welcoming Cities - a national network of inclusive, vibrant communities internationally recognised for their ability to foster a sense of belonging and participation.
The program helps the City create more welcoming and inclusive communities by helping local government leaders and communities be more effectively resourced, networked and supported.
