Digital Youth Competitions

The Youth Services team have created new ways to continue engaging young people digitally for those times when we can't connect in person. A range of fun and engaging content and competitions can be found on the Canning Youth Facebook 

The terms and conditions for individual Facebook competitions are below. 

Terms and Conditions

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE - closing 5pm, Wednesday 24 June
 
  1. The competition is open to young people aged 11-24 years old.
  2. The promoter is City of Canning Youth Services of 1317 Albany Highway, Cannington WA.
  3. There is no entry fee to participate in the competition.
  4. The winner of the competition will be the first young person to successfully name all nine “differences” in the provided images on the Facebook post (post date 27/5/2020) by listing them in the comments.
  5. The entrant must be following the Canning Youth Facebook to be eligible to enter the competition.
  6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  7. The competition will close at 5pm, Wednesday 24 June or when the winner has been confirmed and announced (whichever comes first). No further entries will be considered after this.
  8. The prize is a $25 JBHiFi Gift Card/ voucher. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prizes are not transferrable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  9. The winner will be contacted via direct message or initial response comment on Facebook where City of Canning Youth Services will notify the winner when and where the prize will be delivered/ can be collected.
  10. Employees of City of Canning, their direct relatives and anyone deemed connected to the City of Canning or judging of the competition are not eligible to participate or enter the competition.
  11. By participating in the competition, the entrant is indicating their agreement to these terms and conditions.
  12. City of Canning’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
ONE MINUTE CARD TOWER CHALLENGE - closing 5pm, Friday 26 June 2020
 
  1. The competition is open to young people aged 11-24 years old.
  2. The promoter is City of Canning Youth Services of 1317 Albany Highway, Cannington WA.
  3. There is no entry fee to participate in the competition.
  4. To enter and go in the draw to win a $25 JBHiFi gift card/voucher, post a video of your best attempt to your Facebook page and mention Canning Youth and hashtag #CanningYouthComp. All entries will go in to a random draw on 29 June 2020.
  5. The entrant must be following the Canning Youth Facebook to be eligible to enter the competition.
  6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  7. The competition begins on Tuesday 9 June 2020. The competition will close at 5pm, Friday 26 June 2020. No further entries will be considered after this.
  8. The prize is a $25 JBHiFi Gift Card/ voucher. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prizes are not transferrable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

TOILET PAPER HACKEY SACK CHALLENGE - closing 5pm, Friday 17July 2020
 
  1. The competition is open to young people aged 11-24 years old.
  2. The promoter is City of Canning Youth Services of 1317 Albany Highway, Cannington WA.
  3. There is no entry fee to participate in the competition.
  4. To enter this competition you must create a video of your attempt at the Toilet Paper Hackey Sack challenge and post it to your Facebook page. Your post must mention @CanningYouth and have the hashtag #CanningYouthComp. All entries will go in to a random draw on 20 July 2020.
  5. The entrant must be following the Canning Youth Facebook to be eligible to enter the competition.
  6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  7. The competition begins on Friday 12 June 2020. The competition will close at 5pm, Friday 17 July 2020. No further entries will be considered after this.
  8. The prize is a $25 JBHiFi gift card/voucher. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prizes are not transferrable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
