Improve and practice you and your child’s English before they start kindergarten by attending this program. We use talking, singing, reading and play to help develop confidence and language skills.

Children aged 3-5 who speak English as an Additional Language and have been in Australia for less than 5 years. Child and caregiver or parent participate in these sessions together. Each child is entitled to 10 sessions of ABCD English, places are limited at each session. Online registrations are essential.
ABCD English is an interactive program involving lots of talking, singing, reading and craft. Parents (or a caregiver) are take part in the program with their children.
Sessions run for 1 hour registrations open 15 minutes before the start time.
Each child is able to attend 10 sessions before joining our mainstream story time program. A staff member will mark your names off on arrival. At the completion of ten sessions your child will receive a certificate and are encouraged to attend Play or Story sessions.
It is recommended that the caregiver or parent speak some English.
ABCD English is designed for ages 3-5 years. Children must participate with a caregiver or parent.

ABCD English is run at Cannington Library located at the Cannington Lesuireplex - 233 Sevenoaks Street (Cnr Wharf Street), Cannington, WA 6107
ABCD English is run only during the school term on Monday. Sign in is from 9.45 and the session runs from 10.00 -11.00 am.
Sessions are designed for one on one interaction between child and adult and participating children must be registered. Where possible alternative care for siblings is recommended.
