The City provides an ongoing learning, capacity building and social impact mentorship program to ensure that our people have access to low cost, high quality learning opportunities that cater to all learning levels, year round.

At the City of Canning, we know that an engaged and informed community has the capacity to actively contribute to the cultural and social capital growth of our City. We also know that providing capacity building, up-skilling and educational opportunities is key to embedding sustainability in our everyday lives.

Community Sustainability Learning Program EOI

The City of Canning is pleased to invite Expressions of Interest from sustainability professionals and educators, sustainability and environment related community groups, local business and social enterprise and others to be part of the Community Sustainability Learning Program.

We know that, within our community, and the wider WA sustainability community, there is a vibrant cohort of skilled and engaging sustainability practitioners and educators – and as such, rather than delivering our community learning program ourselves – we commit to facilitating the delivery of a curated, but community-designed learning program.
For further information please visit our Community Sustainability Learning Program EOI page.

Canning Sustainability Challenge

The City of Canning and StartSomeGood are collaborating to support local community projects, non-profits and social enterprises with plans to make Canning a Sustainable City. Selected projects receive matched seed funding, opportunities to share and develop ideas, coaching and mentorship from cause crowdfunding specialists StartSomeGood to raise additional funds via an online crowdfunding campaign.

For further information please visit our Canning Sustainability Challenge page.

Sustainability and Environment Advisory Group
