The City of Canning is pleased to invite Expressions of Interest from sustainability professionals and educators, sustainability and environment related community groups, local business and social enterprise and others to be part of the Community Sustainability Learning Program.

Community Sustainability Learning Program

As of January 2019, the Canning River Eco Education Centre (CREEC) has enjoyed a rebranded and reinvigorated sustainability learning program, designed to enhance regional community engagement, capacity building and lifelong learning. Through our Community Sustainability Learning Program the City can deliver widespread learning outcomes for the City of Canning and our regional community around our city-wide sustainability principles and targets.

Have a great idea for a sustainability event, seminar or workshop that you’d love to deliver to your community?

We know that, within our community, and the wider WA sustainability community, there is a vibrant cohort of skilled and engaging sustainability practitioners and educators – and as such, rather than delivering our community learning program ourselves – we commit to facilitating the delivery of a curated, but community-designed learning program.

We are currently on the lookout for impactful sustainability initiatives to be delivered through the Canning River Eco Education Centre for our Community Sustainability Learning Program. If you would like to be considered for inclusion as a workshop or seminar presenter, educator or group leader, and would like to propose a one-off event / workshop or a recurring program, course or group, we’d like to hear from you!
