Pool lifeguard, Felicity
Our Staff in Focus this month is Fellicity Metcalfe, Pool Lifeguard and swimming teacher with the City of Canning!
Felicity Metcalfe, Pool Lifeguard and Swimming Teacher working for the City of Canning, competed at the Australian Lifeguard Championships on 10 to 12 January 2020. Held at HBF Stadium in Mt Claremont the event showcased the best pool lifeguards in Australia. Felicity captained the West Life Saving Club in its inaugural competition.
the West Life Saving team came second overall in the inter club competition.
At the championships Felicity had 6 personal best times and finished inside the top 10 in many of her events.
Felicity has represented Western Australia in
- Royal Life Saving WA Pool Lifesaving State Team in 2015, 2017
- Surf Life Saving WA Western Suns Pool Rescue State Team in 2015, 2016 and 2018
Like many of the casual employees at our leisure centres, Felicity is a student commencing her third year at Murdoch University. She is doing a double degree in Clinical Laboratory and Biomedical Science.
