MAJOR EVENTS CANCELLED: COVID-19
Following advice from the Federal Government to cancel mass gatherings of over 500 people, and escalating concern regarding the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we have made the decision to cancel a number of large community events from now until the end of May (as a minimum).
Instead we will be looking into ways we can celebrate or commemorate some of our major community milestones and significant dates in different ways; including Anzac Day and Reconciliation Week.
Events that will be impacted include:
• Harmony Week Welcome Dinner – 18 March
• Neighbourhood nights at Willetton – 20 March
• King of the Hill – 21 March
• Neighbourhood nights at Lynwood – 27 March
• Willetton Sports Precinct Sport & Community Open Day – 28 March
• Pathways Volunteers Expo – 1 April
• Earth Day Expo – 3 April
• Anzac Day – 25 April
• Anzac Legacy Blues Concert – 25 April
• Pioneers Morning Tea – 1 May
• Woodloes Open Day – 3 May
• Vintage Film Night – 8 May
• Makuru film night as part of Reconciliation Week – 27 May
We are taking the risk posed by COVID-19 to our community very seriously and closely following the advice provided by the State and Federal Governments to ensure we are working as part of a coordinated approach.
