R U OK?Day is our national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone to ask, “Are you OK?” and to remember every day of the year to support people who may be struggling with life’s ups and downs.
In the build-up to R U OK?Day we encouraged everyone to Trust the Signs, Trust your Gut & Ask R U OK?
We want everyone to feel confident they know the signs someone might need support by listening to what they’re saying, seeing what they’re doing or knowing what’s going on in their life. Whenever you notice a change, no matter how small, we want you to trust your gut and start an R U OK? conversation.
The City is producing a thought provoking film for our community and we want YOU to be involved!
Do you have a story of positivity, or of struggle? Are you confident in front of the camera?
Send your Expression of Interest to email@example.com
by Sunday 28 June
and give us a brief introduction on who you are and what your story is.
If you need professional support, please contact your doctor, local health centre or one of the services listed. Family and friends can also call upon these services for advice and assistance on how to support someone who is struggling.
If you are concerned for your safety or the safety of others, seek immediate assistance by calling Triple Zero (000).
Fun runs, morning teas and movie nights, sausage sizzles and bake offs –fundraising for R U OK?
is a great way to make a difference and support friends, family, colleagues and neighbours feel more connected and protected.
We want our community to stay connected and support their local businesses through #takeawaytogether by ordering from their favourite local, sharing the meal with family and friends and serving up a side of conversation.

How to ask RUOK?
Got a feeling that someone you know or care about it isn’t behaving as they normally would? Perhaps they seem out of sorts? More agitated or withdrawn? Or they’re just not themselves. Trust that gut instinct and act on it. Learn more about the signs and when it's time to ask R U OK?
