Join the waste reduction revolution this Saturday 19 June!
Pick up a bargain at our Reuse Market Open Days and rescue items from landfill. You can find everything from the weird to the wonderful, starting from just 50c.
The market is open 8am to 12pm on the third Saturday of every second month and is managed by Workpower, an organisation that promotes employment for people with disability. All proceeds are used for the market’s ongoing operation and other community waste-related initiatives.
Frequently Asked Questions
The market is open from 8am to 12pm on the third Saturday of every second month. Upcoming dates include 17 April and 19 June. The frequency of the open days will then be reassessed based on the City's ability to source new items and the level of interest from the public.
There's a great range of pre-loved treasures including power tools, homewares, CDs and DVDs, furniture and knick knacks. The items are rescued from landfill by our team. We are investigating a community drop off arrangement, where items may be donated to the market for sale. We will communicate more about this in due course.
With METRONET's Ranford Road Station works happening nearby, the access point from Ranford Road into our Waste Transfer Station is now closed to the public. We are still open from 8am to 4.30pm (last car 4.15pm), but visitors are now required to enter from Wilfred Road and along Livingston Drive. The detour takes about 5-10 minutes and can be a little confusing, but we encourage you to keep going until you see the Transfer Station entry sign. See the map below for more details. This detour will be in place until late 2021.
