Pick up a bargain at our Reuse Market and rescue items from landfill. You can find everything from the weird to the wonderful, starting from just 50c.
Upcoming markets
The market takes place on the third Saturday of every second month at our Waste Transfer Station:
- Saturday, 20 May 2023 from 8am to midday
- Saturday, 15 July 2023 from 8am to midday
- Saturday, 16 September 2023 from 8am to midday
The markets are managed by Workpower, an organisation promoting employment for people with disability.
What does the market sell?
Each Reuse Market always has a great range of pre-loved treasures our team has rescued from landfill. Items can include:
- power tools
- homewares
- CDs and DVDs
- books
- toys
- decorative objects
- sporting equipment
- clothing
- furniture.
All proceeds go to the market’s ongoing operation and other community waste-related initiatives.
Can I donate to the markets?
If you’d like to donate your unwanted items to the markets, we have a community drop-off at the Waste Transfer Station. The collection point is in the top shed – if you cannot find it, please ask one of our helpful staff on-site.
Our staff will assess the quality and safety of the items and decide whether they can be sold in the market. If they are unsuitable for sale you must take your items home or pay a fee for their disposal.
How do I get to the Waste Transfer Station?
The Waste Transfer Station is at 81 Ranford Road, Canning Vale. However, the regular access point from Ranford Road is currently closed to the public. This is because of the METRONET Ranford Road Station works happening nearby.
To enter the Waste Transfer Station, you must travel from Wilfred Road and along Livingston Drive (map below). Keep travelling on Livingston Drive until you see the Waste Transfer Station entry sign. This detour takes about 5-10 minutes. Download the access map (JPG 70KB).
