The City of Canning provides affordable accommodation options for over 55s, in both retirement villages and independent living units.
Our villages are currently experiencing high occupancy rates, making them vibrant places to live. The City maintains a waitlist for all over 55s sites. Please contact our Seniors Accommodation Officer directly on 0457 199 741 for further information.
Our villages are:
Rossmoyne Retirement Village
1 Tuscan Place, Rossmoyne
Set in beautiful gardens opposite the Rossmoyne Bowling Club and close to the Canning River, Rossmoyne Retirement Village incorporates 24 two bedroom units.
The retirement village grounds also include a village hall and a relaxing deck area. Residents pay a weekly rent which also includes a maintenance service fee.
Wilson Retirement Village
Corner Beaton and McManus Streets & Eureka Road
This small village of 18 one bedroom units is located just 9 kilometres from the Perth CBD. The village overlooks sweeping parklands and is close to many convenient facilities.
The retirement village grounds also include a village hall and patio area. Residents pay a weekly rental which also includes a maintenance service fee.
Caprice Place Independent Living Units
8 Caprice Place, Willetton
Originally a joint venture between the Department of Housing and the City of Canning, Caprice Place Independent Living Units consists of 20 one and two bedroom units.
These units are set in lovely gardens and are within walking distance of the Riverton Shopping Centre complex and public transport. Residents pay a weekly rent which is assessed based on income received, keeping them affordable to seniors.
