Public Health Plan
The City of Canning Public Health Plan 2026–2031 (The Plan), endorsed by Council at the June 2026 Ordinary Council Meeting, is a progressive commitment to enhancing the health and wellbeing of all residents.
The health of any one of us is bound up in the way we live our lives, the opportunities we have available to us and the ways in which our communities’ function. The vision for the City of Canning Public Health Plan 2026–2031 is ‘A healthy, inclusive and connected community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, now and into the future.’
This Plan includes an action plan outlining specific actions on improving community health and wellbeing.
Public Health Plan 2019–2023 and Annual Reports
The City of Canning's first Public Health Plan (PDF 7.3MB) focused on developing a healthy, liveable and socially connected community for all.
Actions in the plan aimed to protect, promote, and improve the health and wellbeing of the City of Canning community and help to reduce preventable illness.
The Public Health Plan 2019-2023 contained actions, which were reported on annually. The reports highlight the significant work and investment of the City in working to improve the health outcomes of the community.
