Lens on Biodiversity Photo Competition

The Lens on Biodiversity Community Photo Competition is back for Biodiversity Month 2025, inviting amateur photographers of all ages and skill levels to showcase their creativity while celebrating Canning’s natural environment.

From rich flora and captivating fauna, to tiny pollinators and fungi networks, we want to see your photos which highlight Canning’s rich biodiversity. 

There are three entry categories for children, youth and adults, so everyone has a chance to be recognised. We also have a prize pool worth over $1,400 and selected photos will be featured in a public exhibition and community celebration later this year. 

Entries open on Monday 1 September and close Tuesday 30 September 2025.
