The Global Streets Festival 2026 is a celebration of Canning’s richly diverse community where food people and customs are showcased and enjoyed.

Come along to sample new food, experience a range of activations and customs, watch fantastic live stage entertainment, and immerse the kids in new and exciting experiences. Attendees can expect to be totally energised and re-charged through connection with the Canning community at Hillview Park and Intercultural Community Centre.

Stall holders

Central Asia           
This stall will offer a welcoming space to experience the diverse cultures of Central Asia, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Tatarstan. It will feature traditional elements, visual displays, and friendly conversations. We will share information about our community and provide opportunities for visitors to connect and learn more about our culture

Pakistan 
Pakistani dress and photo booth, urdu name writing station and presenting Pakistan culture and heritage through pictures and props.

Eritrea 
Traditional Eritrean Coffee ceremony. Come and learn about Ertrea, take part in a traditional coffee ceremony or try on an outfit. Sit down with us and enjoy our culture and hospitality.

Hamdelan Iranian Culture 
The stall showcases Iranian culture and heritage through traditional decorations and offers items such as scarves and wristbands for sale. Activities include dress‑up opportunities for both children and adults, as well as egg painting and coloring

MAWA Indian Community 
MAWA will have a cultural photobooth and share information about our culture and heritage.

Pottery and Perspective Co
A potter with AuDHD creating sculptural & functional ceramics inspired by nature.

Jasmine Native Art Australia 
Jasmine Fitzgeraldis a self-taught artist, who likes to explore different medium, however, she prefers acrylic paints. Jasmine paints mainly flora and fauna, landscape and occasionally abstract. Jasmine has been commissioned to do various projects for different school groups throughout South Perth, Curtin Primary School, Como PS, Hensmen Street.

Ayehsal Fashion 
Ayehsal offers elegant abayas, stylish accessories and exquisite jewellery from Pakistan including kids’ jewellery. Based in Canning Vale, we blend tradition with modern fashion, providing high-quality, timeless pieces for a sophisticated and unique shopping experience.

Multicultural Futures/Archi Health 
Multicultural Futures is a dynamic charitable organisation with decades of experience supporting migrants and refugees to build new lives in Australia through strong partnerships with government and community services and Arche Health is a not-for-profit, GP member-based organisation delivering high-quality, community-focused health services across Perth’s southern metropolitan region.

People Helping People
People Helping People (PHP) is a heartfelt community movement built on kindness, connection, and everyday generosity. We help our neighbours through simple acts - sharing food, resources, and care, guided by our belief in “giving where you live without judgement".

What is included?

✔️ Dogs are welcome (on a leash at all times)
✔️ Food trucks including vegetarian, halal and gluten free options (taking payment by cash or card)

✔️ Our event will be using Go2Cup to replace food vendor single use plastics with reusable serve ware. Just take your plates, cups and cutlery back to the Go2Cup Station once you've finished eating. 

What do I bring?

  • BYO own picnic or purchase something from one of the many tasty food trucks.
  • Mosquito spray and a jumper for when the breeze comes in.
  • Reusable water bottles or even a container to take some tasty food home.

Getting here

Global Streets Festival is located at the Hillview Park and Intercultural Community Centre on Hillview Terrace, Bentley. There will be activities inside and outside for everyone.

Limited shared onsite parking is available along the designated car bays (including some ACROD bays, see below), and free bike racks for those considering riding their bikes down.

We encourage you to ride, walk, or catch public transport. Use the Transperth Journey Planner to plan your journey. 

As with all events near residential areas, please be patient with the staff as they assist traffic entering and exiting the event. Please also be courteous and mindful of local residents as you enter and leave the event and do not park on resident verges.
