This free exercise program supports the physical and mental wellbeing of women from refugee and migrant backgrounds by providing a safe, welcoming and culturally sensitive space to move and connect.
Women take part in gentle and enjoyable activities such as Zumba, Chair Yoga and Pilates, with sessions designed to suit different abilities and comfort levels. There’s no need for special activewear, participants are encouraged to come as they are.
Run in a woman-only setting with a female instructor, the program offers an inclusive environment for those who may feel uncomfortable in mainstream fitness spaces. Alongside increased physical activity, many women have built confidence, formed social connections and experienced reduced stress and isolation.
The group has grown into a supportive community where women feel encouraged to prioritise their health and wellbeing.
