Riverton Library is opening its doors for a special Community Open Day: Grow, Learn and Thrive on Saturday 14 March from 1pm – 4pm. This event celebrates the community groups that call our library home. For one afternoon, the library will transform into a buzzing hub of creativity, hands-on activities, storytelling and connection.
From art collectives and craft circles to language groups and Makerspace regulars, visitors will be able to wander through the library, meet the people behind our community groups, and discover the wide range of ways to get involved.
Each group will host a table to showcase what they do, share examples of their work, and chat with community members about how to join in.
Whether you’re looking to learn a new skill, meet like-minded people, or simply explore what’s happening in your local area, this is a relaxed, drop-in event. Families, new residents, long-time locals and curious visitors are all welcome.
There’ll be opportunities to:
- meet local community groups and find out what the different groups offer
- explore opportunities to volunteer, participate or join a group
- enjoy informal demonstrations and displays
- discover how the library supports lifelong learning and community connection.
There's so much happening at Canning Libraries, learn how you can grow, learn and thrive with your library community!
