WA’s first Junior Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) Tournament

WA’s first Junior Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) Tournament

We’re excited to bring WA’s first Junior Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) Tournament to the Cannington Leisureplex this July!

Xiangqi is a fun, strategic board game deeply rooted in Chinese culture. This event offers young players a chance to explore their heritage, connect with others, and challenge their minds in a friendly competition.

Open to junior players up to Year 9 — beginners and experienced players welcome! It’s a great opportunity for kids to try something new, develop problem-solving skills, and build confidence through gameplay.

We hope this event encourages more young people to engage with Chinese cultural traditions and enjoy the unique experience of Xiangqi.

Early bird tickets available for a limited time.
