Celebrate culture and community at Global Streets Festival
The vibrant sights, sounds and flavours of cultures from around the world will come alive at the City of Canning’s Global Streets Festival, returning to Bentley this April.
The free community festival will take place on Saturday 18 April 2026 from 4pm to 8pm at Hillview Hub, bringing together residents and visitors for an evening celebrating the cultural diversity that makes the City of Canning unique.
Attendees can explore a wide range of international cuisines, enjoy live cultural performances, browse community stalls and participate in family-friendly activities designed to showcase traditions from across the globe.
Mayor Patrick Hall said Global Streets Festival continues to be an important event that celebrates the community’s diversity and strengthens connections between residents.
“Canning is home to people from many cultures and backgrounds, and Global Streets Festival is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate that diversity,” Mayor Hall said.
“This event brings people together through food, music and cultural experiences, allowing residents to share traditions, learn from one another and enjoy a vibrant evening with family and friends.”
Mayor Hall said the festival also highlights the important role community organisations play in building strong and inclusive communities.
“We are proud to work alongside our community groups, performers and local organisations who help make this event such a special experience for everyone who attends,” said Mayor Hall.
Lotterywest CEO Colin Smith said the City of Canning’s Global Streets Festival is a great opportunity to strengthen community connection, celebrate diversity and build a strong sense of belonging.
“Lotterywest’s $15,000 grant for the Global Streets Festival is all about helping bring people together in meaningful ways through sharing food, culture and stories,” Mr Smith said.
“We are proud to support events that bring Western Australians together and shine a spotlight on the rich cultural diversity that makes our community so vibrant.”
Global Streets Festival 2026 is proudly supported by Lotterywest, Camco Engineering and Perth Airport.
Entry to the event is free and open to all members of the community.
