Dementia Action Week is a national initiative that takes place every year, aimed at raising awareness and understanding of dementia, a condition that affects millions of people worldwide.
This year, Dementia Action Week will take place from 15 – 21 September and the theme is ‘Nobody can do it alone’, emphasising the importance of community support and collective efforts in caring for individuals living with dementia. World Alzheimer’s Day is celebrated on 21 September.
Dementia Action Week serves as a reminder that everyone has a role to play in supporting individuals living with dementia. By participating in events and spreading awareness, communities can help reduce stigma and promote inclusivity for those affected by this condition.
This Dementia Action Week we challenge everyone in the community to reach out and reconnect to someone impacted by dementia because nobody can do it alone. To get involved visit the Dementia Action Week website.
