Enjoy Dinner and a Movie at Lynwood's Friday Night Eats
The City of Canning is excited to announce its beloved community dining series, Friday Night Eats, is coming to Lynwood’s Edgeware Park on Friday 7 November, 6pm to 9pm.
This edition of Friday Night Eats has a bonus – attendees can sit back and watch the hit new release blockbuster How to Train Your Dragon – for free!
“We wanted to make this Friday Night Eats special for the Canning community. It pairs the great food the event is known for with a top-class, family-friendly film for everybody to enjoy,” said Mayor Hall said.
The film is presented by the City of Canning’s Youth Services team, whose youth-focused Community Movie Nights have become a big hit with families.
“Both of these events separately highlight the City’s commitment to providing free and inclusive events for everybody. By combining the events in the beautiful Edgeware Park, it’s set to be the must-attend event of the season.”
Families are encouraged to bring picnic rugs or chairs to make their movie viewing experience comfortable. Pets on leads also welcome.
As always, Friday Night Eats will deliver a selection of around seven food trucks, live entertainment, and engaging activities for children.
Formerly known as Local Bite Nights, the series continues the City’s tradition of bringing great food and entertainment to neighbourhood green spaces. It encourages residents to enjoy their local parks and connect with neighbours close to home.
The program is supported by the City’s commitment to activating underused spaces and delivering free, accessible events that bring people together.
