Thanks to funding from the City of Canning and support from RAC, the bike skills track at Hossack Park in Parkwood has received a family-friendly upgrade!
Designed for children learning to ride, the revitalised track offers an interactive, and educational environment for young cyclists with a safe, off-road experience that is fun and engaging.
Feature-packed family fun
- The bike track is about 300m and perfect for kids learning to ride.
- It features stop signs and give way signs, intersections and a roundabout, and even a little cubby cafe!
"The Canning community were very responsive to this project, with many having fond memories of teaching their young children how to ride their bikes at this very park!"
“Some of the most popular feedback we received was a request for more seating around the track, so we have now installed more bench seats for parents and caregivers to relax while the kids have fun!"
After they’re finished riding around the track, there's also plenty of space for the kids to run around and kick a ball on Hossack Reserve and have some fun at the playground.
First constructed over 30 years ago, this latest upgrade complements other improvements at Hossack Park, including new outdoor seating and BBQ facilities, a revitalised playground, upgraded clubrooms, and new sports lighting.
More than just a bike track, Hossack Park Bike Skills Track is where memories are made, and awesome and safe biking skills are mastered.
