Public Notice of Major Land Transaction
The City of Canning (City) is proposing to enter into a major land transaction to grant a lease to Re.Cycle (Canning Vale) Pty Ltd a subsidiary of Re.Group Pty Ltd over portions of:
- Lot 9001, 330 Bannister Road, Canning Vale;
- Lot 9002, 350 Bannister Road, Canning Vale; and
- Lot 85, 351 Bannister Road, Canning Vale.
(all together the Site) for total term of 20 years with an initial term of 5 years and 3 further periods of 5 years.
A Business Plan to grant the lease has been prepared in accordance with Section 3.59 of the Local Government Act 1995. A copy of this Business Plan may be inspected at, or obtained from:
- the City of Canning Civic Centre Administration Offices located at 1317 Albany Highway Cannington 6107
- Riverton Library, Corner High Road and Riley Road, Riverton WA 6148
- Cannington Library, Corner Sevenoaks and Wharf Street, Cannington WA 6107
- the City’s Your Say website
Submissions about the proposed transaction must be made in writing and should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Canning, Locked Bag 80, Welshpool WA 6986 or by email to governance@canning.wa.gov.au. Submissions must be received by 4pm (WST) Wednesday 8 October 2025.
Any submissions or comments received are anticipated to be presented to Council at its Ordinary Council Meeting of October 2025 for consideration and will inform Council’s decision making on the matter.
