Youth Fest returns with a Summer Splash Pool Party this December

The City of Canning is kicking off summer with a high-energy celebration for young people aged 12 to 17 at this year’s Youth Fest – Summer Splash Pool Party, taking place on Saturday 6 December 2025 from 6pm to 8pm at Cannington Leisureplex.

The event will transform the leisure centre into a vibrant pool party featuring a live DJ, giant inflatables, water slides, interactive games and giveaways. Designed exclusively for young people, Summer Splash offers a safe and supervised environment where teens can unwind, connect and celebrate the start of summer.

The Youth Services team will lead event supervision alongside trained leisure staff, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive experience for young people of all backgrounds and confidence levels. Youth Fest is a drug, smoke and alcohol-free event that prioritises wellbeing and positive engagement.

Mayor Patrick Hall said the City is committed to creating opportunities that help young people feel supported and connected in their community.

“Creating spaces where young people can enjoy themselves and feel a sense of belonging is incredibly important,” Mayor Hall said. “Youth Fest brings hundreds of young residents together at the start of summer, and we’re proud to offer an event that is both fun and safe.”

Registrations are essential, and last year’s event reached capacity early. Parents and guardians can feel assured that the event is fully supervised by youth-focused staff.
