The Hillview Intercultural Community Centre has plenty of venues available for you to hire.

To receive the community group discount, please message us on SpacetoCo indicating you are a community group and attach your association certificate.

The venues can’t facilitate private events or regular religious activities. For more information, please read the Booking Management Practice.

All hiring rates include goods and services tax (GST).

The multipurpose hall can be used for conferences, workshops, entertainment, theatre performances and live music. The room features:

  • stage
  • accessibility stage lift
  • projector
  • hearing augmentation
  • audio / visual system
  • 2 microphones and 1 lapel microphone
  • 150 armless chairs
  • 16 trestle tables

Capacity:

  • 200 people
  • 160 people for a theatre or classroom layout
  • 120 people for sitting down at tables

Cost:

  • Multipurpose hall only – $47.50 per hour
    • For community groups / not for profit – $15.50 per hour
  • Multipurpose hall and commercial kitchen – $61.50 per hour
    • For community groups / not for profit – $22.00 per hour

The commercial kitchen is perfect for cooking classes and small business food preparation. Kitchen features:

  • 2 commercial grade 4-gas burner stove and oven
  • grill
  • deep fryer
  • ample bench top
  • stocked with basic kitchen appliances and cutlery available for hirers
  • capacity up to 9

Cost:

  • $45.50 per hour
  • For community groups / not for profit – $15.50 per hour

The computer lab may be available to book for half a day or a full day (weekends only) for programs according to centre management discretion. Requests can be made for bookings between Monday to Friday from 9am to midday, and Saturdays and Sunday from 7am to 10pm. This is because the room is an accessible space for the community to use computers during office hours.

  • 15-person capacity

  • small kitchenette
  • 40 chairs
  • 15 square tables

Capacity:

  • 50 people
  • 40 people for a theatre or classroom layout
  • 30 people for sitting down at tables

Cost:

  • $23.50 per hour
  • For community groups / not for profit – $15.50 per hour

Book the Bardip Mia – Art room.
 

This room is great for training sessions and meetings. Room features:

  • hard floor finish
  • a digital smart screen
  • flexible furniture to suit your needs
  • large tables for collaboration

Capacity:

  • 35 people
  • 24 people for a theatre or classroom layout
  • 20 people for sitting down at tables

Cost:

  • $23.50 per hour
  • For community groups / not for profit – $15.50 per hour

Book the Danjoo Mia – Collaboration room.
 

This room is great for training sessions and meetings. Room features:

  • flexible furniture to suit your needs

  • small kitchenette

Capacity:

  • 50 people
  • 40 people for a theatre or classroom layout
  • 35 people for sitting down at tables

Book the Kaartij Mia – Training room.
 

Hillview Park (including food truck bays) and the multipurpose sport nets are currently available to book for free until February 2023.
