Collecting deceased animals

The City will collect dead domestic animals including dogs, cats and livestock, from public places and attempt to contact the owner wherever possible.

To advise the City of a deceased animal requiring collection from a public place, please submit a report.

Deceased registered pets

To notify the City of the death of a registered pet and update your registration details, please complete the notification form.

It is the owners responsibility to make their own arrangements for the death of a family pet.
