Change of land use

Reporting businesses operating under the incorrect land use type.

A change of use refers to any modification made to the approved land use for a particular site, specific tenancy or unit (e.g. a warehouse or showroom changing to a shop).

A development approval is not required if the proposed use is permitted within the zone and the proposal will not generate the need to complete any 'works' on the site.

'Works' incorporates any building activity such as the creation of additional floor space, amendment to parking bays etc.

Issues with neighbours

People are sometimes unaware that their activities are causing a problem. The City encourages all residents and business operators to talk to their neighbours about any issues before making a complaint. Visit the resolving disputes with neighbours page for more information.
