Public accessway maintenance
The City will respond to requests to maintain public accessways, including mowing and weed control.
A public accessway is a designated strip of land that provides pedestrian access between streets, reserves, or other public areas.
Public accessways are serviced three times per year as per the City's Public Accessway Maintenance Program. This includes:
- mowing
- weed control
- pruning
- sweeping.
Urgent requests
If you see a hazard, please report it to the City by callingĀ 1300 422 664. You can call this number 24 hours a day, seven days a week for urgent assistance.
Request
- To request maintenance of a public accessway, please click the Request button below.
- If possible, please attach a photograph of the issue.
- A City officer will investigate within three working days.
- If you are unable to find the correct address when submitting the request, please contact us.
Maintenance of dividing fences next to government owned public accessways is the responsibility of the property owner as per the Dividing Fences Act 1961.
