Tree removal request

Request to remove a street or park tree.

Urgent requests

The City's position is to retain and protect trees wherever possible. Assistance with removing street trees will be given in certain situations. A street tree will be considered for removal only if it is:

  • dead, dying or diseased (please refer to the dead or diseased trees page)
  • causing damage to private property
  • causing damage to public infrastructure.

A street tree will not be removed due to shedding leaves or debris or if someone does not like it. It is an offence to prune remove or remove a street tree.

As an alternative to tree removal, consider submitting a tree pruning request.
