From 9 to 27 March, Leisureplex members are encouraged to join the Let’s Move and Donate Food campaign to help donate food through exercise.
Let’s Move and Donate Food is the 2026 edition of Technogym's annual Let's Move for a Better World challenge, which turns your physical activity into a force for good. This year, Technogym are partnering with the UN World Food Programme to donate 1,000,000 school meals to children in need.
How to participate
You can contribute through movement. Your workouts, your classes, your runs, your rides – every activity generates MOVEs. Every 2,000 MOVEs collected is one meal donated.
To register:
- Download the Technogym App and create an account.
- Add the Leisureplex to your account by scanning the QR code next time you are in the gym.
- In the app, enter the Leisureplexes' 'Let's Move and Donate Food' challenge.
- Congratulations – you are registered!
What are MOVEs?
MOVEs are physical activity that is tracked via Technogym equipment and equipment linked through the Technogym app. Every member can contribute up to 2000 moves a day to the campaign.
You can meet your goal through:
- On Equipment: Log in to Technogym cardio or smart strength equipment during workouts.
- Outdoor Workouts: Track outdoor activities via Technogym App or connected apps and devices (for example Apple Health, Strava, Garmin).
- Lifestyle Activities: Sync daily activities through connected accounts under the Data and Connections section on the Technogym App.
- Connected Workouts: Complete Technogym Sessions / Routines or Visio workouts using a heart rate monitor linked to the Technogym App.
- Equipment-based classes: Group Cycle, Skillrow, Skillrun, Skillbike, Technogym Bike, and Technogym Ride. These require logging in to the Technogym App on the equipment.
- Studio and functional training classes: Teambeats™, Skillrun Bootcamp, Skillx, and Stream. For these, connect your heart rate monitor via the Mywellness Kiosk before the workout to ensure MOVEs are tracked.
Examples of how moves add up:
- Taking 5 flights of stairs= 50 moves
- A brisk half hour walk = 200 moves
- Half-hour run = 400 moves
Workouts tracked manually or without a connected heart rate monitor will not be counted, so ensure all devices are synced before starting.
