Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year is one of the most significant cultural celebrations across East and Southeast Asia. This vibrant festival begins with the first new moon and concludes on the first full moon, 15 days later. Each year is represented by an animal in the Chinese zodiac, known as the Sheng Xiao.

As the season of Birak takes hold we start to feel the warmer weather creep in. Tadpoles turn to frogs, reptiles shed their skins and Nuytsia Floribunda, also known as Moodjar (or the WA Christmas Tree) is in abundance.
