Situated on the beautiful Woodloes Homestead site, Cannington’s Church with a Chimney is a perfect setting for any event.
Built in 1874 by architect and timber mill owner Francis Bird, the heritage-listed homestead offers attractive photo opportunities. Used as a congregational church in the 1800s, the red and white bricked church is now non-denominational. Volunteers from the Canning Districts Historical Society maintain it.
The Church with a Chimney is available for casual hire for events such as weddings and naming ceremonies (not suitable for social functions).
The Woodloes Homestead features:
- Homestead Museum (open on the first and third Sunday of each month from March to December, in the afternoon)
- Church with a Chimney
- Blacksmith's Workshop.
